The chemical composition of D2 Tool Steel Bar is approximately 12% chromium by weight, with 1.5% carbon.
Heat treatment of D2 Bar will produce a NMer material with properties ranging from 55 HRC - 62 HRC. The high NMness of D2 Tool Steel Bar makes the surface resistant to wear and abrasion.
