Properties of SM540 channel steel
Weldability: SM540 channel beam has good weldability.
Forming and processing: Forming and processing can be performed using standard techniques, suitable for hot and cold forming, as well as machining processes such as drilling, sawing and grinding.
Surface treatment: SM540 structural channel can be galvanized, painted or coated to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
Heat treatment: SM540 c channel beam does not normally require heat treatment, but can be normalized to improve its mechanical properties when necessary.
