C Channel Bar Products Description
C-channels are standardized channel sections. Hot rolled executions have tapered flanges, while laser melted have parallel flanges. Both of their tolerances are defined by ASTM A 484, and the laser-welded execution also has a product standard defined by ASTM A1069.
The C-channels within the flange surface have a slope of approximately 16-2/3%, which distinguishes them from the "MC" channels.
Common applications include structural supports, trailers, and other construction uses ASTM A36/A36M-08 is the standard specification for carbon structural steel.
C-channels are used commercially and industrially, as well as in machinery and plant construction.
