Classification of H-beam
H-beam can be divided into hot rolled H-beam and welded H-beam, and hot rolled H-beam is divided into wide flange H-beam (HW), medium flange H-beam (HM) and narrow flange H-beam (HN).
HW H-beam height and flange width is basically proportional to a type of steel, the main reason for its use in reinforced concrete frame overall structural columns in steel core columns, also known as reinforced steel columns, steel overall structure of the main reason for the column.
HM H-beam height and flange width ratio is 1.33~~1.75, the main reason in the steel structure, used as a steel frame column in the frame structure that can withstand and dynamic loads used as a frame beam, such as: equipment and platforms.
The ratio of height and flange width of HN H-beam is more than equivalent to 2, mainly because it is used for beams; the use of I-beam is very similar to that of HN H-beam.
