What is the difference between Q460MC and Q460C?
Q460MC and Q460C are both high-strength low-alloy structural steels, but their properties and application areas are slightly different.
First of all, in terms of chemical composition, the composition of Q460MC and Q460C is slightly different. Trace elements niobium (Nb) and titanium (Ti) are added to Q460MC, while these trace elements are not added to Q460C. Therefore, Q460MC has higher strength and toughness than Q460C, and Q460MC also has better weldability and corrosion resistance.

Compared with Q460C, the advantages of Q460MC are its higher strength, better toughness and wider applicability. Q460MC steel plates are widely used in the manufacturing of trucks, railway vehicles, excavators, dump trucks, heavy machinery and construction of buildings.
From the perspective of mechanical properties, the tensile strength, yield strength and impact toughness of Q460MC are superior to Q460C. The elongation rate of Q460MC is slightly higher, indicating that it has better plasticity and wider applicability.
Finally, from the perspective of application fields, Q460MC is mainly used in engineering machinery, automobile manufacturing, oil extraction and construction fields. Q460C is mainly used in large engineering structures, aerospace equipment, rail transportation and other fields.
