What is the yield strength of high-strength steel?

Steel with a yield strength above 460 is considered high-strength steel. This type of steel generally has sufficient toughness, high specific strength and yield ratio, as well as good weldability and formability. According to the degree of alloying and microstructure, it can be divided into three categories: low alloy, medium alloy and high alloy strength steel.

Low-alloy high-strength steel is a structural steel that has a lower carbon mass fraction and also contains a small amount of one or several alloying elements.

Compared with traditional steel, ultra-high strength steel has the characteristics of high strength, good toughness, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and excellent mechanical properties. It can be used to manufacture structural parts that withstand higher pressure, such as automobile body outer panels and aircraft suspension systems. Arm parts, seam joints, bolts, missile casings, aircraft landing gear, bulletproof steel plates, etc. are widely used in aerospace, aviation, military industry, automobiles and other fields.
