Nickel Alloy Bars Products Description
Nickel Alloy 500, also known as UNS N05500, is considered one of the best performing nickel-copper alloys on the market. Due to the large amounts of titanium and aluminum that have been blended into the product, it has twice the tensile strength and three times the yield strength of Nickel Alloy 400.
While Nickel Alloy 500 has a wide range of potential uses, it is most commonly found in the chemical, marine, pump and oil and gas industries. Specifically, it excels in chemical processing and transportation applications and is used as a base component in oil and gas extraction systems and equipment.
Specific properties of Nickel Alloy 500: Maintains tensile and yield strength properties at elevated temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C); maintains ductility at low temperatures down to -400°F (-250°C); excellent resistance to sparks; excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to alkaline materials, salts, and non-oxidizing acids; excellent strength and durability.
