38CrMoAL Round Bar Products Description
The main chemical composition of 38CrMoAL round steel includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), sulfur (S), phosphorus (P), chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo) and aluminum (Al). Specific composition range is as follows: carbon C: 0.35% ~ 0.42%, silicon Si: 0.20% ~ 0.45%, manganese Mn: 0.30% ~ 0.60%, sulfur S: allow residual content of ≤ 0.035, phosphorus P: allow residual content of ≤ 0.035, chromium Cr: 1.35% ~ 1.65%, molybdenum Mo: 0.15% ~ 0.25%, aluminum Al: 0.70% ~ 1.10%34. ~1.10%34.
High wear resistance and high fatigue strength: 38CrMoAL round steel is able to obtain high surface NMness and good wear resistance after appropriate heat treatment, which makes it perform well in the environment subject to high loads and wear.
High strength: the steel has a tensile strength of not less than 980MPa, a yield strength of not less than 835MPa, an elongation of not less than 14%, and a sectional shrinkage of not less than 50%, which are mechanical property indexes that ensure its stability and safety in various applications.
Good machinability: 38CrMoAL round steel has good cutting and machining performance, the cutting process is not easy to produce cracks and chipping phenomenon, which improves the processing efficiency and reduces the processing cost.
Heat treatment stability: After the correct heat treatment process, 38CrMoAL round steel can obtain uniform NMness and good quenching stability and tempering stability.

Because of its excellent performance, 38CrMoAL round steel is widely used in the manufacture of a variety of high wear resistance, high fatigue strength and considerable strength of nitrided parts, such as cylinder liners, gears, high-pressure valves, boring rods, grinder spindles and so on.
