AISI 1566 round steel is a high manganese spring steel bar with high elastic limit, yield strength and fatigue strength, high NMenability and low decarburization tendency.
1566 hot rolled steel bar has good machinability, and the relative machinability in the annealed state is 70%. AISI 1566 is used to make large flat springs, buffer springs and springs. It is also suitable for making spring coils, valve springs, clutch springs, brake spring cold drawn wire (≤7mm), cold rolled springs, etc.
