Round Bar Stock Steel Product Description
The properties of ASTM/AISI alloy steel round rods can be easily modified to give them different NMness, corrosion resistance, increased strength, ductility and weldability.
ASTM/AISI round stock metal is well suited for use in forgings due to its strength and wear resistance, which is generally beneficial for aerospace structures, especially aircraft frames, components and parts.
ASTM/AISI round rods are typically alloyed with various elements such as chromium, nickel, copper, titanium, and aluminum at alloy levels ranging from 1.00 to 50.00% to enhance their physical properties. By alloying with other elements, the properties of ASTM/AISI round metal bars are improved and are actually suitable for applications requiring forgings that ordinary carbon steel cannot provide.
