- High Temperature Resistance: Hastelloy X round bars excel in high temperature environments, maintaining excellent oxidation resistance up to 1200°C in neutral and reducing atmospheres, as well as resisting carbonised and nitrided atmospheres. It has moderate endurance and creep strength at 900°C, and a short-term working temperature of up to 1080°C.
- Corrosion resistance: The alloy is highly resistant to a wide range of corrosive media, with the ability to resist strong acids, alkalis and brines, and is suitable for both oxidising and reducing atmospheres.
- Mechanical Properties: Hastelloy X round bars have high yield and tensile strengths for high strength applications. Its high NMness and resistance to wear make it suitable for the manufacture of components of complex shapes and sizes.
- Machinability: The alloy has excellent machinability and weldability, and can be joined by a variety of welding processes, such as tig welding, seam welding and spot welding. In addition, the ability of Hastelloy X round bar to retain its shape and size during processing makes it suitable for the manufacture of complex components.

- Aerospace: Used to manufacture combustion chamber components of aero-engines and other high-temperature components such as turbine blades, combustion chambers of industrial and aviation turbines, rectifiers, and structural covers.
- Petrochemical industry: used in the manufacture of high-pressure vessels, piping systems and valves and other key equipment.
- Nuclear industry: used for high temperature gas cooling of nuclear reactors and other equipment.
