What is alloy tool steel?

Alloy tool steel mainly includes alloy cutting tool steel, alloy mold steel and alloy gauge steel.

Alloy cutting tool steel, including low alloy cutting tool steel: it is in the carbon tool steel on the basis of adding a small amount of alloying elements of steel. Such as: 9SiCr has high NMenability and tempering stability, carbide fine uniformity, thermal stability of up to 300 ℃, suitable for the production of thin cutting edge of low-speed cutting tools.

Alloy die steel, the main cold working die steel and hot working die steel. Cold work die steel with high NMness and wear resistance has a certain toughness and fatigue resistance, mainly used in the manufacture of metal in the cold state of deformation of the mold, in the work to withstand a lot of pressure, bending force, impact load and friction, such as: NAK55.

Hot work die steel with high thermal strength and hot NMness, high temperature wear resistance and high oxidation resistance, high thermal fatigue resistance and thermal conductivity, mainly used for the manufacture of metal forming molds at high temperatures, such as: HDM5 and so on.

Alloy gauge steel, the working part of the general requirements of high NMness, high wear resistance, high dimensional stability and adequate toughness; manufacturing gauge no special steel, usually with carbon tool steel, rolling bearing steel and alloy tool steel to manufacture, such as: T10A, 60Mn, 40Cr13 and so on.
