Nickel Alloy 400 bar Products Description
NeoNickel's Alloy 400 offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in neutral and alkaline salts. It is also one of the few alloys that can be used with hydrofluoric acid and fluorine. The alloy has a high nickel content and is not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorides. The alloy also has good mechanical properties from subzero temperatures to 549°C.
The alloy also performs well in seawater and has higher resistance to cavitation corrosion than other copper-based alloys. It is typically used to handle sulfuric acid in concentrations up to 80% at room temperature and up to 15% at boiling temperature.
